Templates Support
The Web Team has an informal pool going. I'm betting that it will take less than three weeks before we find a live template page that has been completely rebuilt with nested tables. We have no desire to forbid that from happening. (I've done similar things myself on inherited projects.) But we would prefer that, before abandoning CSS design completely, you contact us for support.
What resources are available?
First and foremost, you have us (webteam@utk.edu). Our little group has doubled in size since the start of the new year and now includes:
- Erik Bledsoe -- Assistant Director of Creative Services and UT webmaster
- Darren Hughes -- Lead Designer and creator of templates
- Jeremy Hughes -- Web Developer and Arts & Sciences webmaster
- Leigh Shoemaker -- Web Developer and Graphic Designer
Also, please consider joining the UTWEBFORUM listserv, which is often a good place to ask questions. If you'd like to join, send us an email.
Interested in hands-on training?
I would be happy to teach workshops to groups of developers who are interested in getting hands-on experience with the templates and/or learning more about CSS design. I've decided to not schedule anything, though, until I see that there's a demand for it.
