At 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, the University of Tennessee Knoxville will hold a moment of silence throughout campus in honor of those who died in the tragic incident at Virginia Tech University on Monday.

This moment of silence is timed to coincide with memorial events at Virginia Tech and as a sign of solidarity with our colleagues in this time of great national tragedy. 

Students, faculty and staff are all encouraged to take a moment of silence at this time.
