Title:  Extremal Problems in Bergman Spaces and an Extension of Ryabykh's Theorem

Abstract:  I will discuss linear extremal problems in the Bergman space A^p of the unit disc. After giving some introductory information about this problem, I will introduce a theorem of Ryabykh relating extremal problems in Bergman spaces to Hardy spaces.  I will then discuss an extension of this theorem for the case where p is an even integer.
