This 8-hour workshop is designed to offer educational and community interpreters a means to examine their own skills as it pertains to voicing in their work and in preparation for any national certification exam. Participants will explore the differences between typical gloss voicing and correct voicing styles. Participants will engage in adjective intensity activities to increase their vocabulary choices in order not to gloss ASL voice interpretations. Participants will further explore other descriptive vocabulary choices as it pertains to environment, clothing, action, and attitudes.
