Disability Awareness Week


Disability Awareness Week posterThe student organization Campus Disability Advocates at the University of Tennessee will be holding Disability Awareness Week.

Monday - Friday: Disability at UT. Pedestrian Walkway, 10am-3pm

Tuesday: Public Forum on disability issues. Toyota Auditorium, Baker Center, 7pm.

Wednesday: Film showing of My Left Foot. Toyota Auditorium, Baker Center, 7pm.

Thursday - Friday: Disability Issues and Advocacy Conference. Toyota Auditorium, Baker Center, 9am-5pm. We have speakers from various universities and organizations coming to speak about all sorts of disability issues, including employment, the law, equal respect, freedom, art, the built environment, and more. Conference Schedule.

Friday: Disability Art Show. Market Square, Downtown Knoxville, 5pm-9pm.

Campus Disability Advocates expects this conference will help bring disability issues to the forefront of our discussions about diversity as a campus and beyond. We hope you can attend!
