Introduction to Swing Dancing

Kamaryn Wilson and Kemper Talley will be teaching an amazing 3 week progressive series called Introduction to Lindy Hop starting on September 4th at the Laurel Theatre starting at 7pm every Wednesday!

No prior knowledge or partner is necessary! Starting from zero, we will build up to the swing out, the basic of Lindy Hop, as well as other moves and breaks along the way.

Lindy Hop is a social dance done to early swing jazz that came out of New Orleans, Chicago, and Harlem. Here it is demonstrated by some of the best dancers in the world here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8fQbbz2TDI

If you have not taken a dance class for fear it will be too hard or inaccessible, please come try out this class series. It's 5 dollars per class or 15 for the whole series, including the door fee.

Administrative stuff: If you miss the first class, you will not be permitted to join the rest of the classes due to the progressive nature of the classes (exceptions will only be granted for special cases). Please do not show up late, as we will start promptly at 7 pm downstairs every evening.

Anyone is welcome to also go to the beginner classes as well, and they are only 2 dollars for the lesson and dance!
