'The Life of Honor': Lecture Featuring Distinguished Philosopher Kwame Anthony Appiah


Professor Appiah will speak on "The Life of Honor."  Professor Appiah is Laurance S. Rockefeller University Professor of Philosophy and the University Center of Human Values.  Among other distinctions, he is a recent recipient of an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Harvard University and the National Humanities Medal presented by President Barack Obama.  For more information about Professor Appiah, visit www.appiah.net/biography

This event is sponsored by the University of Tennessee Humanities Center, the College of Arts and Sciences, The Haines-Morris Endowment Fund, and Ready for the World Intercultural and International Initiative.  It is free and open to the public.

Visitor parking is available at the Circle Park Parking Lot at Volunteer Boulevard and Circle Park Drive (across the street from the Torchbearer statue).  A two-hour parking permit may be obtained at the Campus Information Center at the beginning of Circle Park Drive
