Celebrate National Fossil and Archaeology Day
The Frank H. McClung Museum at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville will host an event called "Can You Dig It?" on Sunday, October 21, 1-5pm at the Museum. The event will recognize both National Fossil Day and National Archaeology Day. There will be Identification tables for fossils and minerals, bones, and Indian artifacts. Graduate students will provide opportunities to talk about their research projects. There will be demonstrations of fintknapping and pottery making. Children will have an opportunity to make fossil molds and casts.
The McClung Museum is a general museum with collections in anthropology, archaeology, decorative arts, local history, and natural history. Admission is free.
Parking: On weekends, parking is available on Circle Park and adjacent parking lots.
