The East Tennessee Society of the Archaeological Institute of America (AIA) and the McClung Museum present Melanie Sobocinski, AIA Metcalf Lecturer, lecturing on "The Temple of Jupiter Capitolinus in Rome."
Dr. Sobocinski is an independent scholar, formerly with the University of Michigan at Dearborn, and holds her degrees from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor (Ph.D.) and Rice University. Her areas of specialization are Roman sculpture, architecture and numismatics, and she is the AIA's Metcalf Lecturer for 2012/2013.
The McClung Museum is a general museum with collections in anthropology, archaeology, decorative arts, local history, and natural history.
