Haines-Morris Lecture: Posture and Communication in Roman Painting and Poetry
by Alden Smith, Professor of Classics and Associate Dean of the Honors College at Baylor University.
Professor Smith has written three well-received books and numerous articles on Augustan poetry. He is also a recipient of campus-wide, regional, and national teaching awards.

In addition to the Department of Classics, the conference is also sponsored by the Chancellor's Honors Program, Department of History, Department of English, Department of Philosophy, and School of Art.
