Curious about the issues facing young girls & women in developing and third world nations? Don't like the social injustices faced by women abroad? Have a strong conviction concerning education for all? She's the First*{UTK} is a club focused on addressing the gender gap in literacy & education, income disparities, and social injustices in developing and third world nations by way of raising awareness and sponsoring girls' education abroad in our partner schools. We are holding a general body meeting February 14th at 6 PM in HSS 56. Feel free to attend by yourself or with a friend. Please do not be discouraged if you are a guy; while remaining female-centric in mission, the issues are affecting to all, and guys are welcomed and encouraged to participate.
