Nosh n' Chat with Joshua Robbins
Nosh n' Chat will be Wednesday, February 20, at 3:00 p.m. in 1210-1211 McClung Tower.
This is an informal event hosted by the Creative Writing Program. It is an opportunity for students and faculty members to come together to enjoy literature and refreshments.
The featured author for Feb. 20th is Joshua Robbins. Robbins recently graduated from the University of Tennessee with a doctorate in English from UT, and he currently teaches literature and creative writing at the university.
Join us to celebrate his first book of poems, Praise Nothing, which explores the hard truths surrounding faith and doubt in middle-class American suburbia and our broken connection to the transcendent.
Prior to receiving his doctorate in English from UT, Robbins received an MFA in creative writing from the University of Oregon. His recognitions include the James Wright Poetry Award, the New South Prize, selection for the Best New Poets anthology, and multiple Pushcart Prize nominations.
