Organic Crops Field Tour


An event for home gardeners as well as commercial growers interested in the production of organically grown fruits and veggies. New topics include urban gardening, farm and yard "scaping" and emerging pests. The Organic Crops Field Tour will be hosted by UT AgResearch at their East Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center, 7315 Government Farm Road, Knoxville. The 90-acre Organic Crops Unit is dedicated to organic crop research, and the field day will highlight current research projects and discuss organic crop production techniques and recommendations.

Preregistration is just $10 per person and is strongly encouraged. Guests should preregister by April 19 online at http://organics.tennessee.edu/fieldtour.html or by calling the East Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center at 865-974-7201. On-site registration on the morning of the program will be $15 per person. Lunch and a copy of the event proceedings are included with preregistration.
