Aloha Oe

All graduating seniors are invited to attend Aloha Oe to celebrate their accomplishments. The ceremony will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, on the lawn in front of Ayres Hall.

Graduating seniors should meet in the Alumni Memorial Building Cox Auditorium at 7 p.m. dressed in their caps and gowns to line up for the ceremony processional. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place in the auditorium.

This ceremony is a long-standing tradition that allows the Class of 2013 to come together, one last time, to bid farewell to UT. Seniors will pledge their loyalty to the university and pass the "Torch of Service," to their fellow students to inspire them to be leaders in their community.

One of the most celebrated athletes in UT history, Condredge Holloway was the first African American quarterback in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and the first African American baseball player for UT. He was a starter from 1972 to 1974 and led the Vols to three bowl games and a record of 25-9-2.

He came back to UT in the 1990s and now serves as assistant athletic director for student-athlete relations and lettermen.
