HoLa Festival
The HoLa Festival is will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Festival will take place downtown across the bridge from the Emporium at the 100 block of Gay Street, Knoxville, TN 37902. The Festival will not be a success without your help. Please consider volunteering again this year. We need volunteers for all shifts and festival sections. It is not necessary to be bilingual. If you are interested, please e-mail peacecorps@tennessee.edu and we will e-mail you the details. (Please type "HoLa Volunteer" on the subject line of your email.)
HoLa Hora Latina is an art, cultural and educational non-profit organization. It is Knoxville's oldest grassroots Hispanic organization. HoLa's mission is to build art, cultural and communication bridges between Latinos and the community at large, encouraging education, participation and leadership, and prompting unity in the community. HoLa's largest event every year is the Festival. The festival is part of the local celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, and it is an invitation to the general public to learn and enjoy Hispanic music, food, arts, crafts and much more.
