She's the First*{UT}

Curious about the issues facing young girls & women in developing and third world nations? Don't like the social injustices faced by women abroad? Have a strong conviction concerning education for all? She's the First*{UT} is a club focused on addressing the gender gap in literacy & education, income disparities, and social injustices in developing and third world nations by way of raising awareness and sponsoring girls' education abroad in our partner schools. We are holding a general body meeting September 5th at 7:30 PM in the UC. The details about the exact location will be posted on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/stf.utk . Feel free to attend by yourself or with a friend. Please do not be discouraged if you are a man; while remaining female-centric in mission, the issues are affecting to all, and men are welcomed and encouraged to participate.
