Conversation with Noted Scholar and Philosopher Martha Nussbaum and Students

Students are invited to participate in a conversation with Martha Nussbaum, Ernst Freund Distinguished Service Professor of Law and Ethics at the University of Chicago. The conversation will take place at the Black Cultural Center on Tuesday, September 17, at 10:00 A.M. Dr. Nussbaum will also give a talk at the Humanities Center Lecture entitled "The New Religious Intolerance: Overcoming the Politics of Fear"on Monday, the 16^th at 3:30 P.M., at the University Center Auditorium. This Humanities Center lecture is free and open to the general public. A brief reception will follow and will be held in the University Center Ballroom.

Among other publications, Dr. Nussbaum has written Political Emotions: Why Love Matters for Justice (pending Fall 2013), The New Religious Intolerance: Overcoming the Politics of Fear in an Anxious Age (2012), and Creating Capabilities: The Human Development Approach (2011).
