Probability Seminar: Spatial asymptotics for parabolic Anderson models


SPEAKER: Prof. Xia Chen, UTK

ABSTRACT: Parabolic Anderson model become a hot topic again partiallydue to its connection to the KPZ problem.In their recent work, Conus, Joseph, Khoshnevisan and Shiustudy spatial asymptotics for parabolic Anderson modelswith Gaussian noise which has a white time correlationfactor. In their main results, the rate is correct butthe constant remains identified.

Two objectives of this talk:

1. Precise spatial asymptotics.

2. The result in the case of fractional white time factors

The main tool in this work is large deviation principle.
