TITLE: Accelerating time integration using spectral deferred correction
ABSTRACT: In this talk, we illustrate how to use the spectral deferred correction (SDC) to improve the time integration for scientific simulations. The SDC method combines a Picard integral formulation of the error equation, spectral integration and a user chosen low-order time marching method to form stable methods with arbitrarily high formal order of accuracy in time. The method could be either explicit or implicit, and it also provides the ability to adopt operator splitting while maintaining high formal order. At the end of the talk, we will show some applications using this technique.
