Nuclear Air Defense during the Cold War - Dr. Michael Weaver

Dr. Michael Weaver is an Associate Professor of History at the United States Air Force Air Command and Staff College. He teaches military history and international security to active-duty military officers. Dr. Weaver recently published Guard Wars: The 28th Infantry Division in World War II (2010), which investigates the relations between the National Guard and the U.S. Army by following the Pennsylvania National Guard's 28th Infantry Division from peacetime to the battlefield. Dr. Weaver's wider research deals with the U.S. Air Force during the Cold War, and on the use of air power during the Vietnam War.

Dr. Weaver will give a talk titled, "Nuclear Air Defense during the Cold War." It is free and open to the general public. The event is funded by the AfterWars Faculty Research Seminar and sponsored by the Center for the Study of War & Society and the Department of History.
