OBTAINING PERMANENT RESIDENCE IN THE U.S.

OBTAINING PERMANENT RESIDENCE IN THE U.S.

BASIC INFORMATION SESSION FOR UT STAFF

The UT Center for International Education will present an information session on the options and procedures for obtaining permanent residence in the U.S. This session is intended for UT staff (department heads, administrative staff and others) working with international employees who may inquire about permanent residence (or "Green Cards").

The program, which will last about one hour, will provide basic information only and will not include extensive details on the application process. It is, instead, intended to be an overview of the various routes available to those who seek permanent residence, the basic requirements for each, UT's possible role in the process, an estimate of processing times, and a review of UT policies related to permanent resident petitions. There will be a chance to ask questions, but we will not be addressing specific cases.

When: Friday, November 15; 10:30 AM
