Introduction Meeting for the Tennessee Journalist

The Tennessee Journalist (tnjn.com) will be having its first meeting on Thursday. Jan. 16 at 6:30 p.m. in room 246B of the Communications Building in Circle Park.

The meeting is for any students who are interested in writing for the site. The Tennessee Journalist offers UT students the opportunity to gain experience in writing for a news setting. The sections that are on the site include: news, sports, arts and culture, sci/tech and features.

Students are given the opportunity to learn more about constructing a news story, covering an event and using multi-media elements in their stories. They work with experienced editors who work personally with students to improve on their writing.

For those interested, either come to the meeting or contact Zach Dennis at zdennis@utk.edu for more information.
