CANCELED: Anthropology Lecture: Anatomy lecture - Dr. Jason Organ. 'Integrative Models for Assessing Bone and Muscle Quality In Vivo'

The event has been canceled.

Dr. Jason Organ is part of the research group at the Indiana University School of Medicine that includes Drs. David Burr, Alex Robling, and Matt Allen. They are working on understanding the factors that influence the distribution and microstructure of bone and muscle in relation to biomechanics and systemic effects. He has been studying methods for obtaining better models of mechanical responses in both bone and muscle, especially focusing on their interaction. This is very current research, and his talk will certainly appeal to anyone interested in evolution, bone biology and biomechanics.
