The East Tennessee Society of the Archaeological Institute of America (AIA) and the McClung Museum present Dr. Sinclair Bell, Art History, Northern Illinois University, speaking on "Chariot Racing in Roman Society."

Dr. Bellis a specialist in the archaeology of ancient Italy and the history of ancient art.His research is broadly concerned with Etruscan and Roman material culture and art, especially its social history, Renaissance reception and contemporary theorization.

Lectures are held at 7:30 p.m. in the McClung Museum Auditorium and are open to the public and free of charge. A reception will follow each.
