On the Corner of Church and Gay

Can you be LGBT+ and Christian?
What does the Bible say, or not say, about the LGBT community?
How will this issue change in the next generation?

Lambda Student Union is so excited to have Justin Lee at UT on Thursday, April 10 at 6:00 tackling some of the most divisive questions of our generation.

Justin Lee is Executive Director of The Gay Christian Network, which he founded in 2001 as a place for Christ-centered support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals and those who care about them. Lee speaks across the country, is author of the book Torn: Rescuing the Gospel from the Gays-vs.-Christians Debate and director of the of the documentary film "Through My Eyes." He has been featured on Dr. Phil, Anderson Cooper 360, NPR's All Things Considered, and in The New York Times.

Lee will speak about what is means to be LGBT and Christian, what the Bible says (and what it doesn't say) about the LGBT community, and how this issue will change over the next generation.
