African American Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony for Dr. Marva Rudolph

In 1994, the University of Tennessee celebrated its Bicentennial. As a part of the celebration, on October 1, 1994, the University unveiled the African-American Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame, housed in the Black Cultural Center, recognizes African-Americans who have made important contributions to the University of Tennessee.

This year, we induct Dr. Marva Rudolph in the Hall of Fame for her†humble service to the University in advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion.†For over 32 years, Dr. Rudolph worked in the areas of human rights, diversity, and inclusion. Before joining UT in 1990 as a specialist in affirmative action, she worked with the Tennessee Human Rights Commission for 8 years. She took charge of the Diversity Resources and Educational Services (later renamed to the Office of Equity and Diversity) as the assistant director in 1994 and as the director in 1999. In 2013, Dr. Rudolph was promoted to Associate Vice Chancellor and Director of the Office of Equity and Diversity.

Join us as we induct a superb leader and champion of diversity and inclusion into the UT African American Hall of Fame.

The event will commence with a reception at 9:30 am followed by the Induction Ceremony at 10:00 am.†
