Driving Directions to UT Knoxville

From Airport

  • Follow U.S. 129 (Alcoa Highway) north to Knoxville.
  • Take Neyland Drive exit.
  • Turn left onto Neyland Dr.
  • Continue straight through next traffic light (a left turn would take you to Ag. Campus.)
  • Turn left at the next light onto Lake Loudoun Blvd.
  • Drive to end of Lake Loudoun Blvd.
  • Turn right onto Volunteer Blvd.
  • Campus Information Center is on your right

From Atlanta

  • Follow I-75/I-40 to Exit 386.
  • Exit onto U.S. 129 (Alcoa Highway) south (toward Airport and Smoky Mtns.).
  • Take the Neyland Drive exit.
  • Turn left onto Neyland Drive.
  • Continue straight through next two traffic lights.
  • Turn left at the next light onto Lake Loudoun Blvd.
  • Drive to end of Lake Loudoun Blvd.
  • Turn right onto Volunteer Blvd.
  • Campus Information Center is on your right.

From Nashville

  • Follow I-40 to Exit 386.
  • Exit onto U.S. 129 (Alcoa Highway) south (toward Airport and Smoky Mtns.)
  • Take the Neyland Drive exit.
  • Turn left onto Neyland Drive.
  • Continue straight through next two traffic lights.
  • Turn left at the next light onto Lake Loudoun Blvd.
  • Drive to end of Lake Loudoun Blvd.
  • Turn right onto Volunteer Blvd.
  • Campus Information Center is on your right.

From Asheville / Bristol

  • Follow I-40 to Exit 388A (James White Parkway).
  • Follow signs for Neyland Drive / Univ. of Tenn (Be aware that James White Parkway splits off to the left, while Neyland Drive continues straight ahead and to the right, following the river).
  • Follow Neyland Drive to Lake Loudoun Blvd (by Thompson-Boling Arena).
  • Turn right onto Lake Loudoun Blvd.
  • At the traffic light, turn right onto Volunteer Blvd.
  • Campus Information Center is on your right.

From Lexington

  • Follow I-75 to I-275 to Knoxville.
  • Exit I-275 onto Henley St. (U.S. 441).
  • Turn right onto Cumberland Ave. immediately after you pass the World's Fair Park.
  • Once on Cumberland Ave., turn left at the sixth traffic light.
  • You are now on Volunteer Blvd.
  • Follow Volunteer Blvd. straight through traffic light.
  • Volunteer Blvd. curves to right.
  • Campus Information Center is on your left, past the torchbearer statue.
