UT Workshop Helps Businesses Get Federal Contracts

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Officials of small businesses can learn how to write effective grant proposals and to market research projects to the federal government at a University of Tennessee workshop here May 24.

UT’s Center for Industrial Services will conduct the workshop from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Adams Mark Hotel, 939 Ridgelake Blvd.

Jeff Deardorff, president of the consulting firm Integral Services Group and former vice president of Tennessee Technology Foundation, will discuss developing better business strategies.

Nell Tays Hirsch, who manages a technical assistance program for the Department of Defense through CIS, will talk about marketing products to the federal government.
