Five Hamblen County Students Earn UT Scholarships (160)
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Five Hamblen County students are recent recipients of scholarships from the University of Tennessee National Alumni Association.
The recipients:
– Sabino R. Kornich, Route 2 Box 215, Sneedville, earned a four-year $6,400 National Merit Scholarship at UT-Knoxville. He is the son of William Kornrich.
– Dean T. Howell, 504 Howell Road, Morristown, earned a $1,500 upperclass scholarship at UT-Knoxville. He is the son of Bill and Peggy Howell.
– Chase E. Lindsey, 1500 Whiteside Drive, Morristown, earned a $1,500 valedictorian scholarship at UT-Knoxville for her accomplishment as a student at Morristown-Hamblen West High School. She is the daughter of Charles and Kathy Lindsey.
– Lance W. Saunders, 1689 Pleasant View Drive, Talbott, earned a $1,500 freshman scholarship at UT-Knoxville. He is the son of Ron and Jeanie Saunders.
– Kendrick B. Smith, 4635 Barton Springs Road, Morristown, earned a $1,500 valedictorian scholarship at UT-Knoxville for his accomplishment as a student at Morristown-Hamblen East High School. He is the son of Ken Smith.
