KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Terry Shupp, assistant professor of Planning at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, has been named interim director of the UT-Knoxville Community Partnership Center.

A five-member committee of UT faculty, administrators and CPC officials appointed Shupp to replace Madeline Rogero, who resigned after three-and-a-half years to become director of the Dollywood Foundation in Pigeon Forge.

”It is not easy to leave the CPC,” Rogero said. “I take great pride in its accomplishments and will continue to be a believer and supporter.

“The CPC and Dollywood Foundation have deep roots and commitments in East Tennessee. Our paths are likely to cross in the future.”

Shupp has served on CPC project teams and teaches courses in site design and urban studies. She will serve as interim director until the search for a permanent director is concluded.

Fran Ansley, CPC faculty director and UT law professor, said the center addresses problems of low- and moderate-income communities by linking UT resources to grassroots community groups.

 The center is on-line at < a href="http://www.ra.utk.edu/cpc/"> http://www.ra.utk.edu/cpc/.
