KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The University of Tennessee Presidential Search Committee is scheduled to meet at 1 p.m. CDT, Tuesday, Sept. 15, in Memphis.

Beauchamp Brogan, UT general counsel and secretary to the UT Board of Trustees, said the meeting was called by the chair of the committee, Bill Sansom, a UT trustee from Knoxville.

The meeting will be held in 305 Student-Alumni Center at UT-Memphis. On the agenda is appointment of an advisory committee and employment of a search firm.

UT President Joe Johnson has announced plans to retire in June 1999, or when his successor is appointed.
