Parking and shuttle service to Neyland Stadium will be available free to fans attending the Jan. 30 University of Tennessee National Championship Celebration.
Gary Wyant, senior associate athletic director, said fans can park free at Knoxville Civic Coliseum parking garage and UT Agricultural Campus. Bus service to the stadium begins at 10 a.m.
Free parking also will be available on campus, but Wyant advised fans to use the free shuttles.
”The parking on campus will be limited,” Wyant said. ”Rather than search around campus for a parking spot, fans can help prevent traffic congestion and delays by using the free off-campus parking and shuttle buses.”
Traffic patterns for the celebration will be the same as those used during home football games, Wyant said.
The celebration kicks off at 11 a.m. with a big screen video replay of the Fiesta Bowl with Vol announcer John Ward. About 75,000 people are expected to attend. There is no admission charge.
Other scheduled events include a big screen video presentation of season highlights, performances by UT’s Pride of the Southland Band, the traditional team run through the “T” formation, awards, fireworks, and comments from special guests.
