Neyland Drive Lane Closures April 4-5

KNOXVILLE – Renovation work on the Gay Street Bridge will force lane closures on Neyland Drive on April 4 and 5, the Tennessee Department of Transportation announced Monday.

TDOT spokeswoman Luanne Grandinetti said the lane closures will be in each direction of Neyland Drive beneath the Gay Street Bridge. The lanes will be closed from the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day.

Construction workers will be demolishing part of the old structure of the Gay Street Bridge in order to repair it.
