Job Productivity Workshop in Chattanooga
CHATTANOOGA — The University of Tennessee’s Center for Industrial Services will conduct a workshop in Chattanooga Wednesday, May 22, to help companies improve productivity and worker performance.
The seminar on “High Performance Manufacturing: How Your Workforce Enhances Your Bottom Line” will be held 7:30-9:30 a.m. at the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce Civic Forum Building.
Stewart Chason, an industrial process specialist for UT’s Manufacturing Extension Program, said the workshop can help managers from both manufacturing and service industries improve quality, productivity and employee performance at their companies.
Sessions include workforce improvement activities that focus on quality, timely delivery and profitability, and employee satisfaction, Chason said.
The seminar also will demonstrate diagnostic tools to identify common problems and discuss how specific firms have increased their performance.
Breakfast will be served at the workshop. Registration deadline is May 17. For registration and more information, contact Lisa Nave at (423) 763-4056, or email lnave@chattanooga-chamber.com.
