UT Web Services, Disability Office To Host Workshop
The University of Tennessee Office of Information Technology’s Web Services Group and the Office of Disability Services will host a web resources workshop April 28.
The workshop, “Designing Universally Accessible Web Resources,” will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the University Center Shiloh Room.
Jon Gunderson, coordinator of assistive communication and information technology accessibility at the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign, will lead the workshop.
Participants will learn how people with disabilities access the web and how to demonstrate accessible design practices.
Each participant will receive a CD-ROM of software, web resources, and the full workshop presentation.
“We have been planning this with Disability Services for some time,” said Michael McGuire of OIT’s Web Services Group. “It’s a joint project.”
The workshop is free of charge. No registration or reservation is required.
