Central Program Council Looking for New Members
KNOXVILLE — The Central Program Council is holding a membership drive this month for each of its seven committees. If you enjoy film, art, music or politics, there is a place for you in CPC. Applications will be available Feb. 13 in the Office of Student Activities or online at http://web.utk.edu/~cpc1.
Each year the Central Program Council brings more than 150 events to campus, ranging from political pundits, like Al Sharpton, to pop culture icons, such as cast members from -The Real World-. CPC has sponsored events like the Great Pornography Debate, featuring Ron Jeremy, and Heads and Feds: The Marijuana Debate. Homecoming, All-Sing, and Carnicus are also events coordinated through CPC committees. Students from all areas of campus are encouraged to apply. Application deadlines are as follows:
-All Campus Events: Feb. 23
-Campus Entertainment Board: Feb. 24
-Film Committee: Feb. 24
-Issue Committees: Feb. 24
-Women-s Coordinating Council: Feb. 24
-Cultural Attractions Committee: Feb. 27
-Visual Arts Committee: Feb. 27
