UT Campus Road Closures near Glocker Construction
Several roads on the University of Tennessee campus will be closed over the next few weeks to accommodate construction of Glocker Business Administration Building.
Volunteer Boulevard will close on Dec. 18 to all eastbound and westbound traffic at the intersection of Andy Holt Avenue in front of Glocker. The road will tentatively reopen at 5 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 19. The McClung Tower parking garage will remain open.
Andy Holt Avenue will be closed from Phillip Fulmer Way to Volunteer Boulevard Dec. 18 to Jan. 5, 2007. Motorists who need access to Staff Lot 9 should enter by way of Peyton Manning Pass.
Phillip Fulmer Way will close on Dec. 21 to all thru traffic traveling south from Cumberland Avenue to Andy Holt Avenue and will reopen at 5 p.m., Dec. 22. All traffic from that area should use Volunteer Boulevard as an alternative route into campus.
The “T” system will operate on its break schedule and some detours will be necessary. Riders should check the adjusted schedule at http://www.ridethet.com/.
