Moll Anderson Implements UT Students’ Marketing Campaign; Students Compete for Trip to New York City
KNOXVILLE — Lifestyle expert Moll Anderson is looking to the University of Tennessee College of Business Administration for marketing help.
Her Knoxville-based company, Moll Anderson Home, is listening to teams of UT marketing students who are advising her on branding and marketing strategies to appeal to a younger audience. The students have been competing to come up with the best campaign.
Three finalist teams will compete at 5:30 p.m. on April 27 for an all-expenses-paid overnight trip to New York City to view a live broadcast of “Good Morning America” plus the opportunity to implement the winning campaign. The competition will take place at Moll Anderson Home.
The other students will not go home empty-handed. They will be invited to work with the winning team in implementing its campaign. Students also will be given the opportunity to be involved in Anderson’s upcoming radio show, help out with the pilot for her TV series, and be selected to work as an intern in the Moll Anderson Home office.
“We have learned so much from these students. We’re really excited about everything that can come from this collaboration,” Anderson said. “Both Moll Anderson Home and UT are gaining from this relationship. Moll Anderson Home believes more local companies should take advantage of the university and its students in order to benefit from their energy and unique perspectives.”
Author of “Change Your Home, Change Your Life,” Anderson has been described as a hybrid of Dr. Phil and Martha Stewart. Her trademark is melding her design skills with her motivational philosophy.
Anderson is a lifestyle expert who has appeared on many networks including ABC, Scripps and Style. She is getting ready to film the final episode in a two-part series for Dr. Phil, helping to redesign a home for a family scared to move back in after being attacked in their sleep. She has a music label, is in preproduction of a pilot for a TV series, and is currently developing several Moll Anderson Home product lines.
