Juxtapower: South Africa’s Song and Dance, 7 pm Thurs, Oct 18, in Cox Auditorium, Alumni Memorial Building. Free and open to the public. Sponsored by the Black Cultural Programming Committee.

JuxtapowerJuxtapower is a stage production of dance, song and sketch humor, blended with drama, offering the best of South Africa’s theatrical tradition. The show offers significant lessons about the land, history and its people, as well as their continued struggles and blessings under a new democratic government.

The show includes Zulu (warrior dance) juxtaposed with Ballet with a touch of stepping, and South African Hip-Hop. The show will prove to be a colorful, eye-popping explosion of dance, theatrics, comedy, and song.
