Carpetbag Theatre Artistic Director Parris-Bailey to Read New Work at UT

Linda Parris-BaileyPlaywright Linda Parris-Bailey, executive artistic director and principal writer-in-residence for Knoxville’s Carpetbag Theatre group, will read scenes from her new commissioned work, "Giants of Lehigh Valley," 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, in the UT Commons, on the second floor of Hodges Library.

The play is a tapestry of theater and song highlighting a century of the African American experience in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania.

The public is welcome to attend the reading, which is co-sponsored by the UT Department of Theatre, the UT Office of Information Technology and Lehigh University.
