Distinguished Author, Poet Reads at Writers in the Library Series
Author MariJo Moore will read at Writers in the Library at 7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 11, in the Hodges Library Auditorium. Moore, an author, editor and publisher living in North Carolina, draws on her Cherokee, Irish and Dutch ancestry in her fiction, essays and poetry.
She was chosen as Wordcrafter of the Year (2003-04) by the Wordcraft Circle of Native Writers and Storytellers and was North Carolina’s Distinguished Woman of the Year in the Arts in 1998.
