Black History Month Events This Week
UT’s African American community will be highlighted during Black History Month.
Internationally recognized filmmaker and photographer Kendall Messick will lecture at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 14, in room 109 of the Art + Architecture Building. Messick will discuss two of his award-winning documentary exhibition projects – "Corapeake," on view at the UT Downtown Gallery Feb. 15 – March 29 and "The Projectionist."
The Fisk Jubilee Singers will perform at 8:00 p.m., Friday, Feb. 15, at the Tennessee Theatre in Knoxville. The concert is sponsored by the Arts & Culture Alliance.
Love United Gospel Choir "Unplugged" will sing at 3:00 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, at Alumni Memorial Building.
