Global Hour Celebrates Its 5th Anniversary Tonight
Five years ago this week, the first Global Hour was held. At tonight’s open forum, the university community is invited to come and help mark the 5th anniversary of this unique and long lived program of students talking with students about the world in which we live.
Tonight’s program from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in the I-House will look at the Global Hour program itself as an example of free speech and talk about how the program fits into a university setting. In addition, several current international issues in Turkey, Europe and Russia will be discussed.
Global Hour is a weekly program of informal discussion that covers a wide range of topics. It is committed to facilitating the exchange of views and perspectives within a relaxed setting, while engaging important issues that highlight global and human conditions.
