Five years ago this week, the first Global Hour was held. At tonight’s open forum, the university community is invited to come and help mark the 5^th anniversary of this unique and long lived program of students talking with students about the world in which we live.

Tonight’s program from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in the I-House will look at the Global Hour program itself as an example of free speech and talk about how the program fits into a university setting. In addition, several current international issues in Turkey, Europe and Russia will be discussed.

Global Hour is a weekly program of informal discussion that covers a wide range of topics. It is committed to facilitating the exchange of views and perspectives within a relaxed setting, while engaging important issues that highlight global and human conditions.
