All Knoxville-area UT employees and their family members are invited to cheer on the Lady Vols softball team at the first 2008 Employee Appreciation game-day event at 6 p.m. tomorrow.

"Our players and coaches are who make our teams successful," said Joan Cronan, women’s athletic director. "Likewise, the employees of the University of Tennessee are who make our university one of the finest institutions in the world."

In extending the invitation, Cronan called the event "a thank you for your hard work and loyalty."

Each employee and their guests (up to six people) will receive free admission to the game, a $5 coupon to the concession stand and a complimentary UT mug to fill with hot chocolate, if they choose.

"I encourage you to mark your schedules now, come out and celebrate your hard work with fellow UT employees, and cheer on your #4 nationally-ranked Lady Vols as they take on Tennessee Tech," Cronan said.
