The Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy is sponsoring "The Right to Bear Arms: A 2nd Amendment Forum," 4 p.m. today in the first-floor reference section of Hodges Library. Faculty participants include Otis Stephens, Glenn Reynolds and Dwight Aarons from the UT College of Law, Dorothy Bowles form the School of Journalism and Electronic Media, and Brandon Denning of the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.

This event will be a roundtable discussion about the evolving role of the 2nd Amendment in our society, especially as the U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to review the District of Columbia ban on gun ownership.
