UT Students Perform, Compete in ‘Superbad’ Carnicus
KNOXVILLE — This year’s Carnicus promises to be “Superbad.”
A longtime tradition at the University of Tennessee, Carnicus is a singing and drama competition among student groups presented by All Campus Events.
“A Superbad Carnicus” — taking its name from the recent movie about the crazy adventures of three high school seniors — begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 4, in Cox Auditorium in the Alumni Memorial Building.
There will be 10 skits performed by Alpha Gamma Rho; Alpha Omicron Pi and Alpha Delta Pi; Alpha Chi Omega and Delta Gamma; Alpha Tau Omega; Baptist Collegiate Ministry; Chi Omega; Delta Delta Delta; Delta Zeta; Kappa Delta and Kappa Kappa Gamma; and Zeta Tau Alpha and Phi Mu.
Themes of the skits include “The Little Rascals,” “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” “300,” “The Grinch” and “Rock of Love.”
Tickets are $8 for students and $15 for the general public. Tickets can be purchased at the UT Central Ticket Office or through Tickets Unlimited at (865) 656-4444 and http://www.knoxvilletickets.com.
