UT Transportation Services Announces Vehicle Rate Adjustments
UT Transportation Services will be adjusting vehicle rates on today, May 1, 2008 and July 1, 2008. The increases that will be effective on May 1 are due to the current surge in fuel prices.
The adjustments are:
- Sedans and minivans - $.02 per mile increase in the mileage rate; $20.00 per month increase in the monthly rate
- All other categories – $.04 per mile increase in the mileage rate; $40.00 per month increase in the monthly rate
The adjustments on July 1 apply only to midsize sedans, 5-passenger van, 12-passenger van, 4×4 crew cab, hi-cube van, light dump and 4×4 light dump. The increases are due to procurement cost increases for these categories, lift gates, and truck bodies.
A fuel adjustment for all vehicles will be effective May 1, 2008. This adjustment will be $.02 per mile and $20.00 per month on sedans and minivans; and $.04 per mile and $40.00 per month for all other categories. Additional fuel adjustments may be made after July 1depending upon any increase/decrease in fuel costs.
TSD regrets the need for the increases. For more information, visit the Transportation Services Department Web site.
