UT Libraries Welcomes New Writer In Residence Kali Meister
Writer Kali Meister is the UT Libraries’ new Jack E. Reese writer in residence. She began her appointment on Aug. 1.
As writer in residence, Meister will coordinate the Writers in the Library series, which features readings and performances by local and nationally-known writers and artists.
Meister is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and is currently an MFA candidate studying creative writing, with a concentration in playwriting, at Goddard College.
Meister’s writing is an extension of her rich experiences in theatre, performance art and film. She is the winner of the 2005 Margaret Atley Woodruff Award for fiction and the 2006 Margaret Atley Award for playwriting.
