WUOT logoWUOT will premier a new feature, Classics for Kids®, tomorrow, Aug. 2. Produced by Cincinnati Public Radio, Classics for Kids is an educational program for kids of all ages that brings classical music’s great composers to life through music and stories. WUOT will air the six-minute feature Saturdays at 7:53 a.m. and Mondays at 3 p.m.

Each month focuses on one composer and one representative work. A complementary Classics for Kids Web site offers great games and quizzes for kids. The site also features activity sheets, lesson plans that meet national education standards, and other resources for K-5 teachers who want to use music in the classroom or parents who want to introduce their children to classical music.

WUOT is proud to partner with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra on this new project.
