Employee Appreciation Open House at New Allan Jones Aquatic Center Today

UT employees and their guests are invited to another behind-the-scenes look at one of UT Knoxville’s newest facilities today from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Officially "up and running" in time for the 2008 Olympic Trials, which recently were held in the new Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center, this impressive 72,000-square-foot, state-of-the art swimming and diving facility includes two swimming pools, locker rooms, an athletic training room, a concession stand, weight room and a 1,284-seat spectator seating area.
While the event schedule may conflict with work hours for some, President John Petersen, Chancellor Jan Simek and Athletic Directors, Mike Hamilton and Joan Cronan hope that all supervisors will be able to accommodate employees who wish to attend this employee appreciation event and encouraging all UT employees to take advantage of the opportunity.
Parking for the aquatic center open house will be available in the G-7 parking garage on the corner of Volunteer Boulevard and Andy Holt Avenue. Faculty and staff should not park in area S-25.
